Cast your vote for Female Condoms today!

The nominees for the Women Deliver 'Top 50 Inspring Ideas & Solutions that deliver for Women' have been announced last week. The Universal Access to Female Condoms (UAFC) Joint Programme is very honoured to be one of the nominees (Category 'Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns') and is also glad to see that PATH's Women's Condom has been nominated as well (Category 'Technologies and Innovations').

The female condom is a very effective, female-initiated and controlled dual prevention option, preventing both unintended pregnancies and STI infections, including HIV. It is available today and both UAFC and PATH are working very hard to increase both access to and affordability of this tool for the millions of women whose need for family planning and prevention methods is still unmet.

Please, help further this cause - and in this way contribute to the achievement of Millennium Development Goals 3, 5 (5b) and 6 - by casting your vote today!

Here's how to vote:
To cast your vote for the UAFC Joint Programme (# 15 under Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns) and the Woman's Condom (#15 under Technologies and Innovations) visit the Women Deliver Facebook page.
If you aren't already a fan of its Facebook page, you'll be prompted to "like" Women Deliver before you can proceed. You can vote for up to ten solutions in each category, but you only have to choose one in each. Once you've made your selections, click "submit."
You'll then be asked to log in to the Poll application using your Facebook credentials to complete the process. Finally, you'll have the option to post the Women Deliver Top 50 competition on your Facebook wall and invite your friends to vote-which we hope you will do! Voting ends on Friday, March 2, at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Thank you for taking the time to vote and for spreading the word among your networks. Your support for female condoms will help this tool deliver on the promise of better access to affordable family planning and protection methods for women!
